This past Sunday, a hiker suffered an ankle injury and needed assistance off the top of Mammoth Trail. ComSAR Crews went in to action at 1145 hrs and completed the task at 1700 hrs. We encourage the public to call 911 as soon as possible, when an accident occurs on our State Park. Due to the nature of these call, the rescue could be just an hour or an all night ordeal. When you are injured and exposed to the natural elements time becomes a factor to your survival.
