Last night, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 812 held a memorial ceremony honoring the lives of those lost at the World Trade Center and the members of the military lost during the operations in response to 9/11.
During the ceremony, multiple local first responders were recognized, among them EPFD Firefighter of the Year Lieutenant Renteria with Interim Fire Chief Killings receiving the award on his behalf.
Thank you to VFW Post 812 for having us at your ceremony and for honoring those that we lost, and all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend our freedom.
